The 8 Essential Fat-Burning Hormones All Women Need
So, you’ve set out to change your body and get back down to a healthy weight.

But you don’t really know what you’re doing.  You’ve heard a lot about different hormones that could be crucial to your overall body transformation.

But what are they?

Are they referring to Ketones?  Or glucose?

The simple answer is NO.  When people talk about losing weight and finally achieving that healthy body you’ve been dreaming of, they talk about harnessing the right hormones for fat loss.

And trust me, there are a few!

And when you can get these hormones working in harmony, you could expect a change in your body.

In fact, if you can envision it, you may see fat melting off your body in record time!  So what are the hormones and how do they help accelerate weight loss?

Let’s dive in and take a look:

1. Ghrelin

I am going to start with the hormone that could cause a lot of problems on your journey.

That is Ghrelin.  Also known as the hunger hormone, Ghrelin could ruin your plan due to the action it has in your body.

They call it the hunger hormone for a reason!  When you start to lose weight, your Ghrelin levels start to climb.  Basically, it tells your body that you need to eat in order to replenish lost blood sugar and fat!
So how does this impact your weight loss?

Always being hungry creates a constant feeling of always needing to eat.  And if you give in, you’re going to eat more calories, which could potentially lead to weight gain.

In fact, even after 12 months on a low-calorie eating plan, people still had elevated Ghrelin levels—which constantly reminded them that they were hungry.

Don’t worry though, there is a way to lower your Ghrelin levels!  Intense exercise may lower your Ghrelin levels, therefore preventing those hunger pangs from ruining your transformation attempt.

2. Leptin

This hormone is considered an Adipokine—since it’s produced and released from your fat cells.  But don’t be fooled…

The power of this hormone is immense!  Leptin interacts with your brain and tells you when you are full and need to burn some calories.

But here’s the only issue:

When you are overweight, you may produce more Leptin than normal.  And when this happens, your brain doesn’t interact with Leptin—called Leptin Resistance—so your brain becomes numb to the power of Leptin.

The more weight you have, the more Leptin is produced!  But there is good news:

When you do lose weight, your Leptin levels start to decline, which could help your brain to become sensitive to Leptin again.

Other ways to get your body to become sensitive to Leptin is by getting enough sleep, eating plenty of antioxidant-rich berries, and green and red veggies.

3. Adiponectin

Another Adipokine (produced and secreted by your fat cells), this hormone plays a large role in your ability to lose weight and achieve your healthy weight.

This hormone may enable your muscles to use carbohydrates more effectively, could speed up your metabolism, curb your appetite, and could help your body break down and use stored fat for energy.

Unlike Leptin, Adiponectin levels increase the leaner you are.  A person who carries very little body fat could have very high levels of Adiponectin.  On the flip side, someone who carries a lot of excess body fat, their Adiponectin levels may be very low.

But there is good news: As you lose weight, your Adiponectin levels should start to increase.  Another way to boost your Adiponectin levels is to replace some of your carbohydrates with healthy fat sources (such as olive oil, Krill oil, avocados, etc.).

4. Insulin

Insulin is a very powerful hormone and it’s one that could easily increase your fat gain.

Insulin acts to clear your blood of excess sugar.  The sugar and other nutrients are shuttled to your muscles where it can be used for energy, to build muscle, recover from exercise, and maintain a healthy blood sugar level.

However, here’s where things get dicey:

The more carbohydrates you have in your diet, the more likely it will be that you’re going to gain fat.  In fact, the more carbs you eat, the higher your insulin levels are, which could prevent the breakdown of fat for energy use.

Instead, you could see an increase in body fat levels due to excess energy being stored as fat.  If you want to keep your insulin levels down and your body sensitive to insulin, you need to focus your carb intake on more fibrous carbohydrate sources, such as vegetables and some fruit.  Limit the amount of starchy carbs and grains that you eat throughout the day.

5. Glucagon

This powerful hormone works in the OPPOSITE of insulin—which is good for your overall weight loss.

As a review, insulin stores carbs for later use and builds up your body fat levels.  Glucagon, on the other hand, breaks down stored fat and carbohydrates in order for you to use it for energy.

If you want to maximize your glucagon levels, you should focus on eating a high-protein, low-carbohydrate meal!
6. CCK

CCK—which is short for Cholecystokinin—is a hormone that is secreted from your gut (intestines) in response to high-fat and high-protein meals!

Naturally, you would think this hormone stays in your gut and aids in digestion (which it does), but that’s not all it does.

In fact, this hormone also interacts with your nervous system to boost the satiety hormones in your brain to let your body know that you’re full and don’t need any more food.

Again, if you want to harness the power of CCK (feeling full and not needing to eat more) then you need to add more protein and fat to your diet!

7. Epinephrine

Epinephrine is a powerful hormone that is part of your “fight or flight” nervous system in your body.

This hormone helps to release fat and sugar into your bloodstream during times of high stress, so you can either fight or flee the scene with enough energy to do either one—or both.

As mentioned, this hormone helps to free up sugar and fatty acids to be used for quick and immediate energy.
Do you think you only need to be stressed or in a fight to get this hormone moving?  You don’t!

Just add some high-intensity exercise to your normal exercise routine in order to stress your body (in a good way) but also release some of that stored energy (fat) for use during the workout.

8. GH (Growth Hormone)

Ever wonder what the secret to a younger body is?

It’s Growth Hormone—and it’s super powerful!  Besides being able to keep your body youthful, it also helps with losing weight so you can achieve that healthy body.

Growth Hormone gently communicates with your fat cells so they break down and burn that excess energy!

So how can you increase Growth Hormone in your body?

By doing intense exercise (same type of exercise will release epinephrine) and sleeping well.  Most of your Growth Hormone is released while you sleep to help with different functions in your body.

If you want more growth hormone, then you need to train hard and sleep harder!

The Final Note

Everyone is in search of the secret formula to achieving a healthy body.  But not many people find it.

It could be due to genetics and poor eating habits…

…or it could be due to not having these 8 powerful fat-burning hormones working correctly in your body.

Some special notes to consider if you’re struggling to lose weight:

You need to eat and sleep well
• You need to exercise intensely
You need more protein and fat in your body
• Include higher-intensity exercises into your exercise program

If you can put all these steps into place, then you may find it a lot easier to reach your ideal body weight.

BUT:

Sometimes, things happen and your hormones are out of whack, which causes RESISTANCE to some of your most powerful fat-burning hormones.  And when this happens, your brain and body remain silent and the pounds keep adding up.

Don’t worry though…

On the next page, we have a solution to breaking through the resistance to get all 8 fat-burning hormones working at the same time.  And it only takes a few seconds each day to finally master your fat-blasting hormones:
